As simple and obvious it may look in its face, it is efficient enough to help us declutter our mind and live a peaceful and happy life.
Most of the content on this blog is inspired by teachings of Buddha(and current day Buddhist monks). Hence, you may find much of the content here to be related to Mindfulness and compassionate living.
Mindfulness and meditation are very dear to my heart. I have personally spent the last 10 years of my life exploring various forms of meditation trying to improve my mental and spiritual well being. I feel this life to be like a great fun trip. And I now want to share my experiences and learnings with my fellow passengers on this beautiful journey called life.
Who am I?
I would prefer to call myself lovefulsoul. I am a fellow passenger on this journey of life and want to share love and compassion with as many people in this world as I can. This blog serves a medium in this pursuit of mine.
Source of learning
I have spent almost six months of my life living the monastic way in a hermitage kind of setup. Now I continue to live like an ordinary human being, living a normal life practising the principles I have learned from my teachers.
The monastic life
It was a long-sought dream of mine to explore the wilderness of the inner realms. I had been practicing various forms of meditation and was reading through a variety of spiritual texts earlier as well. But somewhere down my heart, I felt that spirituality has to be sought singlehandedly and not as a parallel track in life.
This lead me to the beginning of what I call my quest for soul search. I began it with no specific end in mind and had a firm belief that the supreme energy who is running this world will help me find my track and I left all the worries to him. Most of these days were spent in Mt Abu, India.
The day here started at around 4 am with a few minutes of Silence meditation and through the rest of the day, I got a chance to meet a few senior yogis and to hear out their experiences apart for the time spent on a few content writing and web development assignments for the magazines and websites. Here I experienced a constant state of deep stillness.
Though it took some time, this period helped me understand two deep truths which have been my guiding principles ever since.
- First, that the same sense of stillness may be experienced in professional life too, given that I make enough efforts towards it.
- Second, that there is always a middle path (in all tracks of life) which I could safely take and fulfil both my worldly duties and satiate the needs of my inner consciousness.
I decided to return from this great adventure in the first week of Septemeber 2016 and started a new search for my middle path. And here I am. Thanks for stopping by. Let’s be in touch. You may write to me directly at themindfulofficial[at]gmail.com
